Welcome Back!

Thanks to Jean of Bluejean Primitives for the "You Made My Day Award" mentioned on her blog. We are new at this blogging stuff so I am not sure what to do. Also, Lorraine of PieCake Primitives has tagged us on her blog. You both are so sweet to mention us. Be patient with us girls. I (Tammie) will figure out all this hopefully soon.

Here is a sneak peak of our offerings for the TDIPT Mercantile that will be for sale March 1st. It will be exciting to celebrate their one year Birthday! What a great group of awesome talented friends! We are so proud to be a part of To Dwell in Primitive Thymes!

Happy Valentine's day everyone! I saw these pictures of this adorable puppy a few months ago. Isn't he special?

I love going to the stores on Valentines day and watching all the frantic husbands trying to find that last minute gift because they forgot what day this was. What is really fun is to go to the grocery stores around 6:00 p.m. to where they are trying to get their gifts before they go home from work. smile...

Paula and I are trying to start some new projects. As soon as we get them going we will be posting them on here. We both are kind of in a winter blues slump right now. As always every year I tell myself to use this time to get ahead but....I never listen to

Mom's Yummy Banana Cupcakes...So Easy!

Our Mom makes these cupcakes all the time. They are so easy! I am not sure where she got the recipe but they are the best ever! She puts peanut butter frosting or cream cheese frosting on hers but they are plenty sweet just plain also. As you can see from the picture they have a yummy surprise in the center. The recipe is below the pictures. Let us know if you try them! will get hooked!

Mix in one bowl:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

Mix in separate bowl:
4 to 5 very ripe bananas
1 cup mayonaise
1 tsp vanilla

See how easy they are? Mix the two bowls together and then you fill each cupcake paper half full. You don't have to add a surprise but they sure are yummy this way. Our Mom puts in bite size Milky Way candy bars. You can add Hershey Kisses or Reeses too. After filling cupcake papers half way with batter, push down a candy of your choice in the center a bit. Then fill to top with more batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. So So good.

I had to make these tonight for a gift for a friend who is stopping by in the morning. She begs me to make these for her because she never has time to bake. She will be surprised!

When God Smiles

Welcome to our newest adventure! Paula and I have been enjoying reading everyone else's blogs so much and we decided we better jump in and not get left behind. We hope we can keep it as interesting as the ones we have been reading. You girls out there are so creative! We will be listing our newest designs and upcoming patterns. We also want to throw in a few favorite recipes and other fun things.

Paula lives in Jefferson City, Tennessee and I live in Arlington, Texas. We are always on the phone sharing ideas and showing each other our newest dolls as if we lived right next door to each other. Thank goodness for unlimited long distance! Well I am off to come up with something new for the TDIPT Mercantile!
